Woodlawn Library Study Results

Halifax Public Libraries along with dmA Planning & Management Services and the Terrain Group have completed the Facility Planning Study into the expansion of the Woodlawn Library branch.

The final report recommends that the new Woodlawn library be 12,000 sq. ft. – three times the size of the current branch. The study also looked at potential sites and suggests two options: relocating the branch within the Woodlawn Mall, or to a new location at the Penhorn Mall. These sites were selected based on criteria that included centrality, distance from other branches and complementary use. You can see the full presentation here.

Another public meeting will be held when a firm location is known.
