Halifax Public Libraries provides access to its Internet services for your convenience, and you are only permitted to use the service as described in these Terms of Use.

When you access and/or use the Internet service, you agree to follow the Terms of Use. You agree that

  • you are fully responsible for your actions when you use the service,
  • your use of the service will be lawful and respect the rights and interests of others, and
  • you are aware that your information is not encrypted (protected), and you are using the service at your own risk.

Halifax Public Libraries may change these Terms of Use at any time without notifying you, so you should review them each time you use the Internet service. Your continued use of the service indicates your acceptance of the modified terms.

If you ignore or breach these Terms of Use, Halifax Public Libraries has the right to end your access to the Internet service and contact law enforcement if appropriate.
