Africville: Can't Stop Now
Film Screening and Discussion with Juanita Peters

Although the destruction of the community of Africville and the relocation of its residents happened in the 1960s, the racism underscoring that decision still affects the lives of African Nova Scotians every day. Understanding the story of Africville can inspire us all to take action to create a more inclusive and just community for all. Award-winning filmmaker Juanita Peters will screen her film Africville: Can't Stop Now and facilitate a discussion following the screening.
