Panel Discussion: Journalism—Social Justice and Social Media
Black Voice Perspectives featuring Desmond Cole

Journalist Desmond Cole and a panel of community members will explore the impact and influence of all forms of media on Black lives and Black communities. We will discuss how to define our portrayal and enliven the phrase #we will tell our truths. Panelists include: Sandra Hannebohm, a journalist with The Signal at University of King's College; Vanessa Fells, a Public Programming and Outreach Coordinator with the Black Loyalist Heritage Society; El Jones, the Nancy's Chair in Women's Studies at Mount Saint Vincent University, poet, and community activist; and Babatunde Balogun, a journalism student at University of King's College.
