We are always looking for ways to stay creative and entertained at home, and we think you might be too! So, the Library will be issuing challenges to help kick-start your creativity using only materials found around your house. Are you up to the challenge?
Get creative around the house
Have you ever looked at a pile of socks or a tube of cake icing and thought, “this would make a great book cover re-creation”?
Well, you’re in luck! Inspired by the Paul Getty Museum’s painting re-creations, opens a new window, and challenged by Calgary Public Library, we are issuing a task to you: Kick-start your creativity by re-creating your favourite book cover using materials found around your house.
Whether you decide to use real fruit to re-create the cover of Each Peach Pear Plum or a rainbow scarf to use for Nine Perfect Strangers, the choices are up to you.
We’ll collect your re-creations and post them in this blog post, in a gallery.
