African Heritage Month Program Application Form

February is African Heritage Month in Nova Scotia. 2020 will mark the 36th anniversary of African Heritage Month in Halifax.

African Heritage Month at Halifax Public Librarieopens a new windows is made possible by the generous support of TD Bank Group. 

Community members come together to plan and create contemplative and celebratory events at all branches of Halifax Public Libraries, ranging from community conversations to concerts and cooking. 

Funding is available for community organizations and individuals to plan and host events throughout African Heritage Month, in partnership with the Library.

Applications are due by 9:00am on Monday, September 16. Depending on the number of applications received and funding available we may only be able to partially fund some of the accepted projects. You will be notified about the results of your application by October 15, 2019
