Impact of Rotating Postal Strike

Longer wait times for Borrow by Mail services, Interlibrary Loans, and delivery of new Library cards

Impact on service

Canada Post's unionized workers continue rotating strikes across the country. Borrow by Mail services, Interlibrary Loans, and delivery of new Library cards will continue as usual, however, users can expect mail delays of several days following any active strikes in Halifax.

Interlibrary materials currently on loan must be returned by the due date indicated on the ILL book band.

As always, there will be no fines on overdue Borrow by Mail items. If you would like to make alternate arrangements, such as selecting a Library branch or the Musquodoboit Valley Library Office as a pick-up location, please let us know.
