This program provides a safe and friendly environment that offers free tutoring in all school subjects as well as a chance to practice fun, conversational English for youth who are new to Canada. Our teen volunteers for this program will need to have an enthusiasm for meeting people from different countries and the ability to help with tutoring high school science and math.
We are looking for youth ages 15 - 18
- Tuesdays 3:30 - 5:30 PM from September 25 to December 18, 2018
- Help newcomer teens practice their conversational English.
- Help other students in Junior High or High School subjects, especially science and math.
- Gain valuable experience that can be used on your resume, meet new people, have FUN, and develop your skills!
Please note: weekly attendance is essential.
Fill out a Youth Volunteer Application (also available in the branch) and drop it off at the Library by Sunday, September 16, 2018.
