On display from November 2 – December 13, 2025 in The Sunroom at Central Library, opens a new window, Small Strides, by B Mosher.
About the Exhibit
Small Strides gathers doodles, repeated words, and playful paper forms into drawings and risograph prints, trying to understand the gradual and unpredictable process of learning. In visiting the fuzzy zone between knowing and unknowing, the works keep with this uncertain haze, sometimes puncturing it with moments of clarity.
About the Artist
B Mosher (b. 1991) is a non-binary artist and arts worker living and working in Kjipuktuk/Halifax. They hold a BA in Studio Art from Brock University and an MFA from the University of Guelph. Through their practice, they present site-responsive temporary outdoor sculptures and compose in-situ installations for indoor spaces.
This work develops from an intuitive practice treading spaces between fuzzy and elusive thoughts and lighthearted sharp inquisition. Their practice delights in the search for the remarkable in the trivial, often locating power in weakness.
The Sunroom is made possible by the generosity of Margot and Layne Spafford.
