E-Library Service Disruption on October 13

Halifax Public Libraries' website will be undergoing a scheduled maintenance upgrade on Monday, October 13. Some website, account, and E-Library features may be temporarily unavailable during this time.

During the upgrade, website users will be able to search our catalogue, but they will not be able to register for a new account, register for a digital card, place/manage holds, or view account information.

The following disruptions will occur across our E-Library services:

  • OverDrive/Libby: If you were already signed in to your OverDrive or Libby account before October 10, you'll keep access during the upgrade. However, if you sign out or try to add your library card again, you won’t be able to log back in from October 10-13. New users also won't be able to sign in during this time.
  • PressReader: This resource will be unavailable during the upgrade.
  • LinkedIn Learning: This resource will be unavailable during the upgrade.

If you have any questions during the maintenance period, please send us a direct message on our Facebook or Instagram channels.

All website and E-Library services should return to normal on Tuesday, October 14.
