This Halloween at Halifax Public Libraries was next-level. Staff across our 14 branches swapped name tags for epic costumes, bringing characters from books, pop culture, and original creations to life. Last year’s event turned the libraries into “a gateway to worlds unknown” with heroes, ghouls, and beloved storybook icons adding a spark of joy. In 2025, we took it further — picture interstellar librarians, fairy-tale mashups, and meme-worthy looks. It was all about community, creativity, and having fun.
