On Thursday, February 12, 2026, our Halifax North Memorial Public Library branch came alive with the sounds of African Nova Scotian music as Lift Every Voice returned for another unforgettable evening.
Produced by the African Nova Scotian Music Association (ANSMA) in partnership with Halifax Public Libraries, the annual music showcase celebrates Black excellence and artistry during African Heritage Month.
This year's intimate show at the North Branch featured amazing performances from Adina, Quoia States, Yohvn Blvck, and Kxng Wooz—accompanied by DJ Douvet on the decks and Jody Upshaw keeping the energy high as host.
From start to finish, the room was full of talent, connection, and unity.
Take a look at some of the highlights from the evening.
