HBFF21 Black Market’s 7 Free Films & Discussions Are on Schedule for AHM

Mark your calendars for February 23-26

The schedule for Halifax Black Film Festival's free community conversations is out, and we are excited to be a part of spreading the word.

Over three days, HBFF21 Black Market and Community Panel Series features 21 of today’s most influential local and national Black voices will be featured in seven films. Each one will be available to watch from home on Facebook and all will share industry know-how, real-world experiences, and important societal issues affecting our black communities.

Listening to creative minds like local favourites Cory Bowles and Juanita Peters addressing important social and film and TV industry topics will be a delight as well as an important step toward mapping a path to having more Black representation behind and in front of the camera.

The HBFF21 Black Market and Community Panel Series is presented by Canadian Heritage in collaboration with Bell Media Fund and the TD Ready Commitment and Halifax Public Libraries.

The film festival runs from February 23 - February 28, 2021.
