Children’s Reading Support Volunteers
You make reading fun
If you love reading and children, consider becoming a volunteer tutor in the Children's Reading Support program at Halifax North Memorial Public Library. Just a small commitment of time can help a child build reading confidence and a love of books that will last a lifetime.
What you'll be doing
Once a week, you'll spend 1 hour helping a child, ages 8-12, from the North End community of Halifax to develop their reading skills. The tutorials take place at the Library, where you'll have access to a variety of materials from our collection to make learning fun—books, art, technology and more!
