On display from July 31 to September 4, 2022 in The Sunroom at Central Library, Jewish Artists in Nova Scotia features artwork by 12 Jewish artists.

The Atlantic Jewish Council is proud to present this juried exhibition. Those selected come from Canada, Crimea, Israel, and Ukraine. They represent different viewpoints, backgrounds, and cultural heritage.

About the artists

The exhibit features the work of:

  • Randy Engelberg
  • Margarita Fainshtein
  • Adrian Fish
  • Mickael Gedalia
  • Irena Kazatsker

In personal statements, they reflect on the impact Judaism has had on their lives. Some grew up Orthodox, others didn’t practice at all. But all are committed artists.

The pieces chosen for the show represent only one image out of each individual artist’s complete body of work.

The Sunroom is made possible by the generosity of Margot and Layne Spafford.
