Pride Week in Halifax is a bright and energetic time; and a time for reflection and learning. From July 18-28, Halifax Public Libraries was proud to host a wide array of Pride 2019 programs ranging from panel discussions to Drag Queen Storytimes for families, many in partnership with community members, organizations, and Halifax Pride.
Pride Week 2019 kicked off with the Halifax Pride Parade. Our staff walking group was pleased to be joined by teens from Captain William Spry and Keshen Goodman Public Libraries for a day under the (very hot!) sun. A special shout out goes to the crew from Keshen Goodman who brought Libby the Library van to life as a beautiful unicorn, complete with stickers created with our Cricut Cutter.
