The 2026 TD Summer Reading Club has officially come to a close, and we are swimming in some AMAZING stats! Registration opened on June 17 and closed August 31. An incredible 7,464 kids signed up to catch the reading wave and take part in Canada's biggest bilingual summer reading program. We also surpassed last year's total of 7,263 participants!
Together, Summer Reading Club participants earned 167,495 points by reading, drawing, building, creating, exploring, attending Library programs, and trying new things. Every story made a splash!
Thank you to all the kids who participated, families who supported young readers, and educators who encouraged registrations - you made this record-breaking year possible!
We'll be sharing a list of prize winners later this fall, but truly, you are all winners! We hope to welcome you back again next year.

The TD Summer Reading Club is a free program for kids of all ages, interests, and abilities (recommended for ages 3+). Set your own points goal, earn prizes, and make waves all summer long. Registration remains open until August 31, and participants can report points until September 13.
Along the way, kids can earn fun squishy mochi prizes and be entered for a chance to win exciting grand prizes, including LEGO sets, a Nintendo Switch 2 with Pokopia, a bicycle and helmet from CycleSmith Halifax, a giant art supply kit, and more.
