Video Collection

Many of the videos showcased are documentaries or first-person accounts about the experience of being 2SLGBTQIA+, and may contain language and content that could be triggering. While some of this content may be hard to watch, we feel it is important to share real stories from community.

If you need support, here are some mental health and other resources you can access.

Video Collection: Indigenous

Long before the settlers arrived at Turtle Island (aka North America), there existed a Two Spirit Society in many tribal communities. The spectrum of Indigenous sexualities does not fit the confined Western registries of gender binaries, heterosexuality, or LGBT codification. Come and enjoy the "first voice" of Indigenous peoples as they share their stories.

Two Spirit is an Indigenous concept on gender and sexuality, which interconnects spirituality and cultural identity all into one. Discover more with John R. Sylliboy for the Wabanaki Two-Spirit Alliance, opens a new window.

"Marsha P. Johnson, opens a new window, a Black trans woman, is credited as being one of the main activists who lead the 1969 Stonewall Riots, considered to be an integral moment in igniting the modern-day queer rights movement. Discover some of the many facets of the Black queer community through these videos.
