Science Literacy Week 2020
In celebration of science, all across Canada from September 21 – 27, 2020 Science Literacy Week events and activities will be taking place. Halifax Public Libraries is joining in on the excitement, virtually.
The theme this year is Biodiversity. Protecting the diversity of species on planet Earth is critical for conservation. Nature is a defining feature of Canada. Did you know Canada has more freshwater lakes than all other nations combined? And that Canada has the longest marine coastline in the world? And Canada has one-quarter of the wetlands remaining on Earth? Science Literacy week is a great time to get out and explore the great outdoors and the unique and amazing environments that surround us.
