Closed for Heritage Day
- All locations and departments of Halifax Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, February 19 for Heritage Day.
The Library closes for all statutory and civic holidays.
Nova Scotia Heritage Day, opens a new window is an annual reminder of our province’s rich historic past, and a time to teach ourselves about it. This year’s Heritage Day honouree is William Hall, opens a new window, the first person of African descent, and the first Nova Scotian to be awarded a Victoria Cross—the British Empire's highest award for bravery.
