What is Cloud Cookbooks?

Cloud Cookbooksopens a new window is part of our E-Library of free online tools. On Cloud Cookbooks, you get instant access to Canadian cookbooks, from the latest in healthy eating to classic titles, to international dishes. All the cookbooks are available to view on a computer or mobile device, though a computer or tablet works best.

Cloud Cookbooks doesn't require any downloads, so all you need is an internet connection in order to search and view recipes. 

Get started

From our website, select Cloud Cookbooks by visiting the E-Library tab at the top of any page, or from our list of digital resources here. No library card required!

Browse recipes and cookbooks on the homepage, or search the collection using the search bar. You can also browse recipes by meal type, main ingredient, prep time, and much more using the navigation bars on the top and on the left of the screen.

Have a lot on your plate when it comes to meal prep? The advanced search feature lets you search with multiple filters , so you can find the perfect recipe that will please everyone at your table.

How do I view a recipe?

If you are viewing cookbooks, click on the image and select Look Inside. If you are viewing recipes, click on the recipe to view it. The e-book will open to the exact page you need, so you can browse other recipes in the cookbook by clicking on the arrows on either side of the screen. There is a small search bar to help you search that specific cookbook for recipes or ingredients.

Hard to see? Click on the page to zoom in and make the text bigger. You can also toggle between viewing one or two pages at once by using the little book icon on the green navigation bar.

Worried about bringing your computer into the kitchen? Print off your favourite recipes and store them somewhere easy to find!
