Keshen Goodman Public Library: Upcoming Temporary Closure

Due to construction, Keshen Goodman Public Library will be closed from Monday, January 15 to Sunday, February 11.

Updated January 31, to include new planned reopening date

Upcoming Temporary Closure

From January 15 to February 11, 2024, Keshen Goodman Public Library will undergo a temporary closure to accommodate some major renovations, including the installation of its new rooftop mechanical unit, updated holds shelving, and returning equipment into the space. While closed, all existing and incoming holds will be paused until the Library reopens.

To allow for the proper installation of its rooftop mechanical unit, the Library has adjusted its reopening date from February 5, to February 12, 2024. The branch will continue to operate under its limited-service model, opens a new window, which is expected to continue through Winter 2024. The Keshen Goodman Public Library is preparing to resume full service in Summer 2024. Please check back for more exciting updates in the coming weeks, opens a new window!

A huge thank you to community members for their continued patience as we updated this beloved space. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Holds Information

During this time, all existing and incoming holds will be paused until the branch reopens. You can continue to place holds for pick up at Keshen Goodman Public Library, but they will not be ready for you until after the Library reopens mid-February.

For your convenience, the deadline to return items borrowed from Keshen Goodman Public Library will be extended until after the closure.

As a reminder, it is simple to change your pick-up location when placing a hold online. You can select any branch from the drop-down menu and pick up your items at another Library location.

Please call Ask the Library at (902) 490-5753 if you have any questions about your holds.
