Notre histoire / Our Story digital display

A historical tribute titled L'Acadie et la Francophonie: Notre histoire / Our Story can be found on the 4th floor of Halifax Central Library.

The permanent digital display was created by Halifax's local Acadian and Francophone community in partnership with Halifax Regional Municipality, and launched in April 2017. It features a presentation of photographs and quick facts telling the story of Nova Scotia’s large and active Acadian and Francophone community, from 1604 to present day.

Notre history / Our Story celebrates Acadian and Francophone milestones such as the creation of the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial in 1996; local community radio Oui 98.5; and notable dates and events like National Acadian Day.

Visit us anytime to view the display and take a look back in history and forward to the future. À bientôt!
