Children’s Reading Support

A little help for big dreams

At the Library, we know learning can be tough for kids. That's why are committed to making learning fun.

Children's Reading Support is a free tutoring and mentorship program for both Sackville and North End Halifax communities. Volunteer tutors work with children through popular tools, such as art, games, and computers as well as books. The goal is to create a fun atmosphere for improving reading skills.

Note: The sessions at Halifax North on Tuesdays, 4:00 - 4:45 PM, Wednesdays, 3:30 - 4:15 PM, Wednesdays, 4:30 - 5:15 PM are now full. You are welcome to add your name to a waitlist.
