Access for All
Halifax Public Libraries is a member of the Halifax Regional CAP Association, a non-profit organization aimed at providing access to technology and technology-related training. Our 14 branches are a part of their network, called CAP sites, from Hubbards to Sheet Harbour.
With eight branches equipped with assistive technology workstations, Halifax Public Libraries make sure the computers fit your needs and not the other way around.
You can book a computer online, over the phone, or in-person at your local branch.
Non-profit groups can book these labs free of charge for workshops and training sessions.
All branch libraries have free wireless access to the internet.
Please note: All computers shut down 15 min before closing.
Customers can print from the Library’s public computers.
Remote printing from wireless devices (e.g., laptops, tablets, phones) is available at all branches.
Printing charges are levied by pages printed. All listed printing fees include HST.
